Do you need support? Contact the Here, we report the draft genome of Enterobacter ludwigii NCR3, a plant growth–promoting bacterium isolated from the rhizosphere of the heavy metal hyperaccumulator Carpobrotus rossii (Haw.) Schwantes and grown in a cadmium-contaminated environment (4). The effects of teeth-blackening bacteria Enterobacter ludwigii on the physiological system were investigated using the model organism Drosophila melanogaster. The bacteria were mixed with the fly food, and its effect was checked on the growth, development and behaviour of Drosophila. Effect of the Phosphorus-Solubilizing Bacterium Enterobacter Ludwigii on Barley Growth Promotion Claudia Ribaudo Universidad de Buenos Aires, Facultad de Agronomía, Cátedra de Bioquímica Jose Ignacio Zaballa Universidad de Buenos Aires, Facultad de Agronomía, Cátedra de Bioquímica Rodolfo Golluscio Cátedra de Forraje, CONICET. Currently, six species have been assigned to the Enterobacter cloacae complex, including E. cloacae, Enterobacter asburiae, Enterobacter hormaechei, Enterobacter kobei, Enterobacter ludwigii and Strain M2 was identified as a pesticide-degrading strain of Enterobacter ludwigii according to phenotype, biochemical properties and 16S rDNA sequence analysis.

This species was first identified and reported by Hoffmann et al., in 2005 (Hoffmann et al., 2005). The genus Enterobacter is a member of the coliform group of bacteria. It does not belong to the fecal coliforms (or thermotolerant coliforms) group of bacteria, unlike Escherichia coli, because it is incapable of growth at 44.5 °C in the presence of bile salts. Some of them show quorum sensing properties. The biochemical and molecular studies on E. cloacae have shown genomic heterogeneity, comprising six species: Enterobacter cloacae, Enterobacter asburiae, Enterobacter hormaechei, Enterobacter kobei, Enterobacter ludwigii and Enterobacter nimipressuralis, E. cloacae and E. hormaechei are the most frequently isolated in human clinical specimens.
It is the type genus of the order Enterobacterales . [1] Enterobacter ludwigii is an endophytic nitrogen-fixing bacterium with growth-promoting abilities isolated from the Lolium perenne rhizosphere [11]. Such abilities include not only the promotion of plant growth [12; 13; 14;], but also the biocontrol of plant diseases [11].

- Enterobacter … Enterobacter cloacae is a gram-negative and a rod-shaped bacterium. This bacterium is commonly found is a hospital setting where patients have compromised immune systems. It comes from the family called Enterobacteriaceae. The size of this bacteria is 0.3-0.6 x 0.8-2.0 μm. The optimal temperature of … We assessed whether colonization of mandarin orange roots by host-specific plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) can influence the composition of root endophyte, rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere bacterial communities and plant growth. The ability to colonize root by four host-specific PGPR, namely Enterobacter hormaechei RCE1, Enterobacter asburiae RCE2, Enterobacter ludwigii RCE5 and A new species, Enterobacter ludwigii, is presented on the basis of the characteristics of 16 strains, which were isolated from clinical specimens. These bacteria form a distinct genetic cluster in phylogenetic analyses of the population structure of the Enterobacter cloacae complex.
